Distance learning, the process in which you take online courses for college credit is on the rise. More universities and community colleges are offering online education classes to meet the diverse needs of the growing population, potential and currently enrolled students.

The work you do, the life you live and other life experiences can count for more than memories.  To meet the needs of a diverse pool of college students, universities and colleges are adopting programs to quantify the life experiences of students in a manner that awards them college credits.

One of the first questions many students or prospective students ask when they learn about the two-year degree they can earn through practically all junior colleges and some traditional universities is, “How many credits are required for an associate degree?”

The number of credits needed to receive a bachelor degree based upon a full-time semester of 15 credits per (on average) is 120 college credits and takes approximately four years to complete.
